Practice Head - US Taxation

Our client is a leading U.S. taxation firm with a global presence, delivering high-quality tax advisory and compliance services to clients across the U.S., including CPA firms and corporations. With offices in the U.S., India, and South Africa, the firm is now seeking a dynamic and experienced Practice Head to lead and scale its U.S. Tax Service Line from Bangalore.

Role Overview:

As Practice Head, you will lead the India-based U.S. Taxation team, driving service delivery excellence, operational efficiency, and strategic growth. This senior leadership role requires both a high-level vision and hands-on involvement in client delivery, team development, and practice expansion.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead the India U.S. Tax Service Line, ensuring seamless delivery of U.S. tax compliance and advisory services

- Build and manage strong relationships with U.S.-based CPA firms and corporate clients

- Oversee staffing models aligned with U.S. tax season demands and delivery timelines

- Resolve complex tax and operational challenges with a hands-on approach

- Implement best practices around KPI frameworks, value-based pricing, and service optimization

- Mentor, develop, and retain high-performing teams

- Collaborate with global leadership to align strategic goals and ensure consistency in client experience

Ideal Candidate Profile:

- 16+ years of experience in U.S. tax compliance and advisory services

- Recent 2+ years in a leadership role within a tax services or outsourcing firm

- Proven track record managing multiple CPA clients with complex tax requirements

- Deep understanding of U.S. tax season workflows, review protocols, and resource planning

- Strong business acumen with experience in client value management and service line growth

- Exceptional communication, leadership, and client engagement skills

- Professional certification: EA, CPA, or CA (mandatory)
