
THE ROLE
- A mid-sized IT Services MNC is seeking a seasoned and visionary Practice Head - Data & Digital Transformation to lead its fast-growing Data Analytics practice. This strategic leadership role will focus on building and scaling analytics capabilities, owning delivery excellence, and enabling digital growth across client engagements.
- The ideal candidate brings 18+ years of experience in the IT industry, with a proven track record of establishing analytics practices from the ground up and leading high-performing delivery teams. The individual will be instrumental in defining the practice vision, nurturing talent, and working closely with global clients to shape data-led transformation strategies.
Role and Responsibilities:
- Establish and scale the Data Analytics Practice, driving strategic initiatives and solution offerings across verticals.
- Lead and mentor delivery teams, ensuring quality, efficiency, and alignment with client expectations.
- Define the practice roadmap, manage budgets, and contribute to P&L growth.
- Collaborate with sales and presales teams to develop go-to-market strategies and participate in key client pursuits.
- Act as a trusted advisor to clients, shaping modern data strategies including advanced analytics, BI modernization, and cloud-native data platforms.
- Drive innovation by integrating new-age technologies such as AI/ML, LLMs, and Generative AI into analytics delivery.
- Build frameworks, accelerators, and reusable assets to improve scalability and delivery maturity.
- Represent Organization at external industry forums, client events, and webinars to
strengthen market visibility.
REPORTING STRUCTURE
This position reports directly to Executive Leadership and collaborates closely with cross-functional teams including Sales, Marketing, and Delivery.
WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR
- 18+ years of experience in IT, with significant exposure to Data & Analytics, including delivery and practice leadership.
- Demonstrated success in building analytics practices from the ground up and scaling them across geographies.
- Strong leadership experience in managing large delivery teams and client engagements.
- Deep technical understanding of data platforms, analytics frameworks, cloud technologies (AWS/Azure/GCP), and modern BI tools.
- Exposure to solutioning, RFP support, and client presentations.
- Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution.
- Strong stakeholder and client management experience across global delivery models.
EDUCATION - Bachelor's degree required. Master's degree or MBA in Human Resources or related field preferred.
