Role Overview:
We are seeking a sharp, strategic, and creative Content Strategist to own and drive Portls end-to-end content strategy across digital channels. This is a high-impact role for a content leader who can marry performance data with brand storytelling to influence every stage of the user journeyfrom awareness and acquisition to engagement and retention.
You will be responsible for shaping the voice of the brand, crafting powerful narratives across multiple platforms, and leading the production of compelling content that not only converts but also inspires.
Key Responsibilities:
Content Strategy & Planning:
- Architect and execute a full-funnel content strategy aligned with product roadmaps, brand milestones, and audience personas.
- Conduct regular audits, competitive benchmarking, and performance analysis to optimize content effectiveness across channels.
- Collaborate with growth, brand, design, and product teams to align messaging across paid media, email marketing, SEO, social, PR, and influencer partnerships.
Content Creation & Editorial Excellence:
- Own the creation and refinement of high-conversion marketing copy: website, landing pages, emailers, product messaging, push notifications, social content, influencer briefs, and more.
- Shape integrated content calendars for product launches, seasonal campaigns, and evergreen user engagement.
- Uphold a consistent brand voice witty, intelligent, motivational across all customer touchpoints.
Creative Collaboration:
- Translate brand narratives into visual briefs and campaign concepts that resonate with diverse audience segments.
Performance & Optimization:
- Track key content KPIs: traffic, engagement, conversions, retention.
- Leverage A/B testing and performance insights to refine messaging and iterate on content formats and distribution channels.
- Identify and experiment with new storytelling approaches and interactive formats (video, UGC, challenges, testimonials).
Team Leadership:
- Manage and mentor a content team comprising writers, editors, designers, and video creators freelance or in-house.
- Own content workflows, briefing processes, editorial standards, and production timelines.
Required Skills & Experience:
- 3-6 years of proven experience in content strategy, digital marketing, or brand copywriting preferably in high-growth D2C, consumer tech, wellness, or lifestyle environments.
- Exceptional command of digital storytelling across web, social, email, paid ads, and product communication.
- Deep understanding of user journeys, engagement metrics, and how content influences decision-making across the funnel.
- Expertise in working cross-functionally with performance marketers, designers, and product managers.
- Strong editorial sensibility with an eye for tone, structure, and clarity.
- Proficiency in tools such as Google Analytics, Webflow/WordPress, Klaviyo/Mailchimp, Notion, and Asana/Trello.
- A compelling portfolio of work across brand, growth, and campaign-driven content.
