Job Description - Portfolio Monitoring / Credit Monitoring

Job Summary

- We are looking for a detail-oriented professional with experience in portfolio monitoring and post-disbursement credit monitoring to join the Investment Team. The role focuses on monitoring existing investments after disbursement, tracking portfolio performance, covenant monitoring, risk assessment, and preparing portfolio review reports.

- The candidate will work closely with management teams, internal stakeholders, and clients to ensure timely monitoring of investments and identification of early warning signals (EWS).

- This is not an underwriting-focused role and does not involve active client acquisition.

Portfolio Monitoring & Post-Disbursement Monitoring :

- Monitor portfolio companies post investment/disbursement and track financial performance regularly

- Conduct detailed analysis of financial statements, cash flows, leverage ratios, and operational performance

- Track covenant compliance and identify any deviations or breaches

- Prepare periodic portfolio monitoring reports, risk notes, and management updates

- Identify early warning signals (EWS) and escalate potential portfolio risks to senior management

- Monitor utilization of funds and adherence to transaction terms

Client & Management Interaction :

- Participate in meetings and calls with management teams and clients to understand business performance and operational updates

- Coordinate with internal investment teams, legal teams, and external stakeholders for portfolio-related matters

- Maintain ongoing communication with portfolio companies for data collection and reporting requirements

Risk & Performance Analysis :

- Analyze industry trends, market developments, and sector-specific risks impacting portfolio companies

- Support risk management activities through continuous portfolio tracking and monitoring

- Conduct variance analysis against projections and highlight key observations

Reporting & Documentation :

- Prepare investment monitoring dashboards, MIS reports, and portfolio summaries

- Maintain accurate documentation related to portfolio monitoring and compliance requirements

- Assist in preparing presentations for internal committees and senior management reviews

Key Requirements :

- Strong understanding of financial statement analysis and credit monitoring

- Experience in portfolio monitoring, post-disbursement monitoring, or risk management

- Knowledge of covenant tracking, EWS monitoring, and portfolio review processes

- Strong analytical and communication skills

- Proficiency in MS Excel and financial analysis

Preferred Background :

- Candidates from Banks / NBFCs / Private Credit Funds / AIFs

- Experience in Portfolio Monitoring / Risk Monitoring / Credit Monitoring teams

- Organizations such as Kotak, Edelweiss, ICICI, large funds, and similar institutions preferred

- 3-6 years of relevant experience in portfolio monitoring or credit monitoring

- Experience in investment monitoring, risk management, or fund monitoring preferred
