Polycab India - Techno Commercial Lead

Job Purpose:

To support sales by analyzing tender specifications, evaluating technical feasibility, costing, and delivering competitive techno-commercial offers while serving as the customer-facing technical interface.

Key Responsibilities, Authorities & Accountabilities:

1- Tender & Specification Evaluation:

- Review customer tenders, RFQs, and technical specifications

- Identify key requirements, deviations, and risks

- Ensure complete understanding of scope before submission

- Seek clarifications from customers/internal stakeholders

- Flag non-feasible requirements to management

2- Technical Feasibility (MTO / MTS):

- Assess whether requirement can be fulfilled via MTS or requires MTO

- Coordinate with engineering, production, and R&D for feasibility

- Evaluate capability gaps and alternatives

- Decide preliminary feasibility (Go / No-Go input)

- Recommend product substitutions or modifications

3- Costing & Commercial Inputs:

- Prepare BOM/MTO and cost estimates

- Work with procurement & manufacturing for cost inputs

- Ensure competitive and profitable pricing

- Provide costing inputs for quotation

- Suggest cost optimization options

4- Techno-Commercial Offer Preparation:

- Prepare detailed techno-commercial proposals/quotations

- Ensure accuracy, compliance, and completeness

- Align technical specs with customer expectations

- Finalize technical offer content

- Approve compliance sheets before submission

5- Customer Interaction & Sales Support:

- Engage with customers for technical discussions and clarifications

- Support sales team during offer stage and negotiations

- Handle pre-order queries and technical presentations

- Represent organization as technical SPOC

- Take calls on technical clarifications during discussions

Skills & Requirements: Minimum 8 years of experience
