Role Overview:
The Business Sales Manager - Government segment will be responsible for driving sales growth within government accounts, building strong relationships with key stakeholders, and ensuring the achievement of revenue targets. This role requires strategic planning, solution selling, and managing complex sales cycles in alignment with organizational objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute sales strategies to penetrate government accounts and achieve assigned targets.
- Identify new business opportunities within the government sector and build a robust pipeline.
- Maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and influencers in government organizations.
- Collaborate with internal teams (marketing, product, operations) to deliver tailored solutions for clients.
- Prepare and present proposals, negotiate contracts, and close deals effectively.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and regulatory changes impacting the government segment.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and government procurement guidelines.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
- Degree in Business, Marketing, or related field (MBA preferred).
- 7+ years of experience in B2B sales, with at least 4 years in government segment sales.
- Strong understanding of government procurement processes and tendering.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to manage complex sales cycles and deliver results under pressure.
- Proficiency in CRM tools and MS Office Suite.
