About the Job:

We are seeking a results-driven AVP Training (Term Business) to lead the design, execution, and monitoring of Pan-India training programs for the Term Life Insurance business.

This role requires deep expertise in sales training, insurance domain knowledge, and proven experience in building scalable training systems that drive business impact.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Training Programme Development:

- Identify training needs for Term business across distribution channels and geographies.

- Develop structured training roadmaps for new joiners, frontline sales teams, managers, and leadership within the Term business.

- Design content and modules covering product knowledge, objection handling, consultative selling, and regulatory compliance.

- Align training strategy with organizational goals and Term business growth priorities.

Training Execution & Delivery:

- Implement Pan-India training initiatives leveraging classroom sessions, digital learning, workshops, and on-the-job coaching.

- Drive induction and continuous capability-building programs for the Term business workforce.

- Ensure consistency and quality of delivery across all locations through standardized training practices.

- Manage a team of trainers/facilitators to ensure smooth execution and effective coverage across geographies.

Monitoring & Evaluation:

- Measure training effectiveness using KPIs such as productivity, sales conversions, persistency ratios, and compliance scores.

- Conduct 30-60-90 days post-training impact assessments and report ROI to senior management.

- Continuously refine content and delivery methods based on feedback and business performance.

Stakeholder & Team Management:

- Partner with Term business leadership, sales heads, and HR to ensure training is business-relevant and future-ready.

- Build, coach, and manage a high-performing training team across regions.

- Coordinate with external vendors, content creators, and digital learning partners where required.

Governance & Compliance:

- Ensure all training programs comply with IRDAI regulations and organizational policies.

- Maintain accurate training records, certification requirements, and audit readiness.

ISMS Responsibilities:

- Follow the instructions of Function Heads, operate systems on behalf of Function Heads, and serve users authorized by Function Heads;

- Provide technical consulting assistance to Function Heads so that information systems can be built and run to best meet business objective;

- Ensure the safeguarding of information in their possession;

- Accepts responsibilities for the operation and protection of information assets; and

- Perform the work as delegated by the Function Head

Desired Skills and Experience:

- Proven experience in managing large-scale, Pan-India sales training programmes in BFSI/insurance domain.

- Strong understanding of Term Life Insurance products, processes, and distribution models.

- Exceptional communication and facilitation skills to engage diverse audiences.

- Strong analytical mindset to measure and link training outcomes to business performance.

- Expertise in digital learning platforms and blended training models.

- Leadership ability to manage teams, budgets, and cross-functional stakeholders.
