- Draft the credit policy for the personal loan product seeking to achieve a balance between
growth and risk metrics.
- Closely interact with the technology team to ensure that the credit policy rules are appropriately coded in the Business rule engine.
- In addition, adhere to Regulatory and Audit Compliance
- Review and Monitor Branch Underwriter in Loan Appraisals, TAT, Risk Appetite and Support to Business
- Assist in building towards a strong digital credit appraisal process
Process - Key Improvement Activities
- Proactively monitor the credit performance of the portfolio and make suitable changes to the policy to reduce segments that have a disproportionate contribution to credit losses
- Conduct Review of the disbursementsFiles to validate Process requirements and Policy adherence - Completeness and Accuracy
- Proactively inform Team of Upcoming Red Flags and Triggers
- To identify Portfolio Risk in Underlying Business Practices and Fraud Exposures
- Training the Credit Managers on Processes and policies
- Work Closely with Regional Sales , Product Group and Credit Managers and Operations to constantly refine credit underwriting processes in Region / State.
- Work closely with the Decision science teams to aid in the development of robust credit models
- Maintain data on Credit waivers and Deviations and track the same
- Build, train and lead a team of credit policy managers so as to guide them in building strong credit policy and a profitable personal loan portfolio
- Provide input on competitive guidelines from time to time to ensure that there is a competitive benchmarking

Minimum - Post Graduate
Preferably - CA / MBA - Finance
Functional Skills
- Knowledge & understanding of credit decisioning processes for unsecured loans in a digital lending environment corporate laws, drafting abilities & organizing skills.
- Good communication and analytical skills with a strong understanding of data and analysis
