Job Title: Assistant Finance Controller


Job Summary:


We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Assistant Finance Controller to join our growing team.


The ideal candidate will be a qualified Chartered Accountant with 2-3 years of post-qualification experience in accounting, compliance, and audits.


This role is critical in supporting financial reporting, statutory compliance, and audit readiness, particularly within the regulated environment of Non-Banking Financial Companies (NBFCs) and Private Limited Companies.


The Assistant Finance Controller will oversee day-to-day financial operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely reporting.


Key Responsibilities:


- Oversee and supervise day-to-day accounting activities, ensuring accuracy, adherence to internal policies, and compliance with relevant accounting standards.


- Perform monthly closing activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysis, to ensure the timely and accurate reporting of financial information.


- Prepare and analyze financial statements (e.g., Balance Sheet, Profit & Loss Statement, Cash Flow Statement) in accordance with applicable accounting standards (e.g., Ind AS).


- Ensure meticulous compliance with all applicable indirect tax laws, including Goods and Services Tax (GST), and direct tax laws, specifically Tax Deducted at Source (TDS).


- This includes timely filing of returns and adherence to regulatory requirements.


- Stay updated on and ensure compliance with the financial regulations and guidelines issued by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) applicable to NBFCs, as well as the rules and regulations governing Private Limited Companies under the Companies Act.


- Coordinate and actively assist in Internal, External, and Statutory audits by preparing necessary schedules, providing requested documentation, and ensuring all financial records are audit-ready.


- Maintain accurate and organized financial documentation, ensuring easy retrieval and adherence to record-keeping policies.


- Prepare timely and insightful financial reports for senior management, highlighting key performance indicators, variances, and potential risks or opportunities.


- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams across various departments to ensure seamless financial management and alignment with overall business objectives.


- Contribute to the development and implementation of internal controls and process improvements to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of financial operations.


Key Skills & Requirements:


- Mandatory: Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA).


- Mandatory: 2 to 3 years of post-qualification experience in accounting, compliance, and audits.


- Strong command of direct and indirect tax laws, with in-depth knowledge and practical experience in GST, TDS, and RBI compliance relevant to NBFCs.


- Proven experience working with Private Limited Companies and Non-Banking Financial Companies (NBFCs) is highly preferred.


- Excellent understanding of financial reporting standards (e.g., Ind AS) and audit procedures.


- Proficient in using accounting software/ERP systems and advanced skills in MS Excel for data analysis and reporting.


- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret financial data and provide meaningful insights.


- Exceptional attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy in all work.


- Demonstrated ability to manage workload effectively, prioritize tasks, and meet strict deadlines consistently.


- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders
