
Description:
We are seeking a seasoned Legal Expert with extensive experience in white-collar crime, economic offenses, and regulatory compliance to manage and defend complex legal and enforcement matters. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of handling high-stakes cases involving multiple investigative and regulatory authorities and will play a pivotal role in safeguarding the organizations legal interests.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage all legal matters related to ED, CBI, PMLA, FEMA, Black Money Act, SEBI, and SFIO investigations and proceedings.
- Strategically advise management on white-collar crime and economic offense cases with emphasis on defense and compliance strategies.
- Represent the organization in High Court and Supreme Court proceedings, coordinating with external counsels where necessary.
- Ensure full legal compliance and regulatory preparedness across corporate functions.
- Liaise with government and regulatory authorities for ongoing and prospective matters.
- Review and strengthen internal systems to mitigate future legal and compliance risks.
- Stay updated on changes in relevant laws, regulations, and enforcement trends.
Desired Profile:
- Law Graduate (LL.B.) or higher qualification from a reputed institution.
- 10-20 years of experience handling white-collar and economic offense matters in large corporate groups.
- Must have hands-on experience dealing with ED, CBI, PMLA, FEMA, Black Money Act, SEBI, SFIO, and Income Tax related cases.
- Demonstrated success in legal defense, compliance management, and handling multi-agency investigations.
- Experience appearing and coordinating matters in High Court and Supreme Court.
- Preference for professionals currently working with competitor or similar industry organizations (infrastructure, energy, or conglomerate groups).
- Independent practitioners or sole proprietors need not apply.
