PMO / Project Manager Automotive Transformation

Location: Chennai

Experience: 7+ Years

Duration: 12-Month Contract

About the Opportunity:

We are supporting a consulting firm on a strategic transformation engagement with a leading automotive client. We are looking for an experienced PMO / Project Manager with a strong automotive industry background who can manage the end-to-end lifecycle of complex projects and drive execution across multiple workstreams.

Key Responsibilities:

- Manage the end-to-end project lifecycle from initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, and closure.

- Drive PMO governance, project tracking, milestone management, risk management, and status reporting.

- Coordinate with cross-functional teams including manufacturing, supply chain, procurement, engineering, quality, and business stakeholders.

- Develop and maintain project plans, RAID logs, dashboards, and executive-level progress reports.

- Ensure adherence to timelines, budgets, deliverables, and quality standards.

- Facilitate stakeholder communication, steering committee meetings, and decision-making forums.

- Track dependencies across multiple workstreams and proactively resolve execution bottlenecks.

- Support change management, implementation planning, and performance monitoring for transformation initiatives.

Required Experience:

- 7+ years of experience in Project Management / PMO roles.

- Strong experience managing large-scale automotive projects or transformation programmes.

- Exposure to manufacturing operations, supply chain, procurement, engineering, or plant transformation projects within the automotive sector.

- Proven ability to manage multiple stakeholders, vendors, and cross-functional teams.

- Experience with project governance frameworks, reporting tools, and programme management methodologies.

- Automotive domain expertise (OEM / Auto Components / Manufacturing).

- Programme & Portfolio Management.

- Risk & Issue Management.

- Stakeholder Management.

- Dashboarding and Executive Reporting.

- Process Improvement & Transformation.

- Strong communication and coordination skills.
