Role Overview:

The PlayerCaptain role is a high-impact leadershipcumportfolio management position within the Private Banking division. The role requires managing a large book of affluent and ultrawealthy clients while also leading business development initiatives and mentoring junior team members. The primary objective is to deliver exceptional wealth management solutions, grow AUM, and ensure best-in-class client experience aligned with Standard Chartered Banks Private Banking standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Client & Portfolio Management

- Manage and grow a high-value AUM book of 8001000 crore consisting of HNI and UHNI clients.

- Deliver comprehensive wealth advisory solutions across investments, insurance, estate planning, structured products, and treasury offerings.

- Conduct regular portfolio reviews, risk assessment, and rebalancing aligned with client goals and market conditions.

- Ensure seamless onboarding, compliance, and documentation for all client accounts.

Business Development & Revenue Growth

- Acquire new HNI/UHNI clients through strong networking, referrals, and relationship management.

- Drive revenue growth across investment products, liabilities, and fee-income products.

- Identify cross-sell and up-sell opportunities in collaboration with product, treasury, and lending teams.

Leadership & Team Collaboration

- Act as a PlayerCaptain by mentoring junior RMs/Wealth Specialists and supporting them in client pitches, portfolio planning, and product understanding.

- Lead by example in driving client acquisition, service excellence, and product penetration.

- Work closely with senior management to execute strategic business priorities for the region.

Compliance & Risk Management

- Ensure strict adherence to all regulatory, audit, and internal compliance guidelines.

- Maintain highest standards of client confidentiality, transparency, and ethical conduct.

- Mitigate portfolio and operational risks through proactive monitoring and governance.

Key Skills & Competencies

- Strong understanding of wealth management, investment products, and financial markets.

- Proven track record of managing large AUM (8001000 Cr).

- Excellent relationship management, networking capability, and client-handling skills.

- Leadership qualities with the ability to guide and motivate team members.

- Strong analytical, communication, and presentation skills.

- Ability to work in a high-performance and target-driven environment.

Preferred Qualifications

- MBA/PGDM in Finance, Wealth Management, or related field.

- NISM, CFP, or other relevant certifications preferred.

- Minimum 14-12 years of experience in Private Banking/Wealth Management handling large AUM portfolios.
