The Manager, Platform Coverage is a key member of the Coverage department at Vision Bank, reporting directly to the Head of Client Coverage.
This role is central to Vision Bank's platform-led financing strategy, which leverages digital marketplaces, fintech platforms and origination partners to build a scalable, diversified and high-quality SME financing portfolio.
The Manager, Platform Coverage is responsible for managing client origination from onboarded platforms, ensuring prospective clients meet the Bank's target market criteria and risk acceptance standards, and processing credit applications through approval and post-approval stages.
The role also encompasses direct client origination where appropriate.

The role requires deep expertise in trade finance, working capital products, and credit risk, combined with the relationship management skills needed to develop Vision Bank's platform ecosystem into a robust origination engine.

Job Responsibilities : - Manage and develop relationships with platforms onboarded with Vision Bank, serving as the primary point of contact for platform partners and ensuring strong, productive partnerships that support the Bank's origination targets.
- Negotiate and manage commercial arrangements with platforms, including referral structures, API integration parameters and service level expectations, in coordination with the Technology, Legal and Compliance functions.
- Identify, evaluate and recommend new platform partnerships aligned with Vision Bank's financing strategy, target market criteria, and Shari'ah compliance requirements.
- Conduct periodic platform reviews assessing origination volumes, portfolio quality, operational performance, and compliance with agreed criteria, presenting findings and recommendations to the Head of Client Coverage.
- Manage the end-to-end origination process for clients referred through platforms, from initial enquiry through target market assessment, risk acceptance criteria screening, credit application preparation and submission.
- Ensure all prospective clients meet Vision Bank's target market criteria, risk acceptance standards, KYC/AML requirements, and Shari'ah compliance standards before advancing applications through the credit process.
- Maintain a well-structured and up-to-date deal pipeline, tracking all active opportunities from origination to drawdown, and providing regular pipeline reporting to the Head of Client Coverage and senior management.
- Originate client relationships directly where appropriate, including through the Bank's own business development activities, industry events and professional networks, in alignment with the Coverage strategy.
- Work closely with Risk and Compliance functions to ensure all origination activities are conducted within the Bank's risk appetite and regulatory framework.
- Prepare and present high-quality credit applications, including financial analysis, credit risk assessment, structuring recommendations and proposed terms for trade finance, working capital and asset-backed financing facilities.
- Structure financing solutions appropriate to each client's needs, trade cycle and risk profile, utilising Vision Bank's suite of Shari'ah-compliant products including export receivables finance, supply chain finance, invoice discounting, asset-backed lending, cash flow-based lending and revenue-based financing.
- Liaise with Credit and Risk functions throughout the approval process, addressing queries, providing additional information and ensuring approvals are obtained within agreed service levels.
- Manage the post-approval process including satisfaction of conditions precedent, documentation execution, drawdown coordination with Operations, and ensuring clients are onboarded and activated within agreed timelines.
- Utilise the Bank's AI/ML-driven credit assessment tools and alternative data sources as part of the tech-assisted underwriting process, contributing to the continuous improvement of origination and credit workflows.
- Conduct regular portfolio reviews for the platform-originated financing book, monitoring exposure concentration, client performance, covenant compliance, facility utilisation and early warning indicators.
- Prepare periodic portfolio review reports for senior management and the Risk function, providing actionable analysis and recommendations on portfolio quality, growth opportunities and risk mitigation.
- Manage renewals, amendments and annual reviews of existing facilities in a timely and proactive manner, ensuring the portfolio remains well-structured and appropriately documented.
- Identify and escalate credit concerns and potential problem accounts at an early stage, working with the Risk function to implement appropriate remediation strategies.
- Contribute to building the platform financing portfolio into a scalable, diversified and high-quality book that supports the Bank's strategic growth objectives and SME loan securitisation roadmap.
- Manage relationships with internal stakeholders including Risk, Compliance, Technology, Operations, Finance and Legal, ensuring smooth execution of transactions and adherence to internal policies and procedures.
- Contribute to the development and refinement of Vision Bank's target market criteria, risk acceptance criteria and credit policies as they relate to platform-originated financing.
- Support the Head of Client Coverage in preparing management reporting, business development presentations and strategic initiatives related to the Coverage function.
- Represent Vision Bank at industry events, trade finance forums and platform partner meetings, building the Bank's profile as a preferred financing partner in the digital trade finance ecosystem.

Candidate Attributes : - Strong expertise in trade finance and working capital products including export receivables finance, invoice discounting, supply chain finance, letters of credit, asset-backed lending and revenue-based financing.
- Prior experience working with digital platforms, fintech originators or marketplace lenders as origination partners is strongly preferred.
- Familiarity with Shari'ah-compliant financing instruments (Murabaha, Musharakah, Wakala, Ijara and similar structures) is desirable.
- Strong credit risk skills with the ability to assess, structure and present financing proposals across a range of trade finance and working capital products.
- Excellent relationship management and business development skills, with the ability to build and maintain productive relationships with platform partners, clients and internal stakeholders.
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex credit and commercial proposals clearly and persuasively to senior internal and external audiences.
- Strong commercial acumen and understanding of SME business models, trade flows and the digital platform ecosystem.
- Digital fluency and comfort with tech-assisted underwriting, AI/ML-driven credit tools and API-enabled platform integrations, in line with Vision Bank's digital-first operating model.
- Collaborative team player able to operate effectively in a fast-paced, early-stage digital bank environment, demonstrating initiative, adaptability and a solutions-oriented mindset.
