The Senior Manager - Delivery is accountable for providing strategic and operational leadership for the end-to-end delivery of SaaS products. This role ensures predictable, high-quality, and timely product releases while maintaining strong governance, delivery discipline, and cross-functional alignment. The incumbent will play a critical role in scaling delivery capabilities, strengthening Agile maturity, and supporting the organisation's growth objectives.

Responsibilities:

- Provide leadership and governance for end-to-end SaaS product delivery across multiple programs and releases.

- Ensure delivery outcomes align with approved scope, timelines, quality standards, and business objectives.

- Define, implement, and continuously improve delivery frameworks, operating models, and best practices.

- Lead, develop, and manage delivery, engineering, and quality teams to ensure optimal performance and scalability.

- Collaborate closely with Product Management to support roadmap planning, prioritisation, and execution.

- Establish and track delivery performance metrics, including predictability, velocity, quality, and release readiness.

- Identify delivery risks, dependencies, and constraints, and ensure appropriate mitigation strategies are in place.

- Provide regular and structured status reporting to senior leadership and key stakeholders.

- Oversee capacity planning, resource allocation, and cost management for delivery functions.

- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across Agile execution, automation, DevOps, and operational efficiency.

- Support critical customer escalations and ensure the stability and success of production deployments.

Requirements:

- Demonstrated expertise in Agile and scaled Agile delivery methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe)

- Strong understanding of SaaS product development, release management, and operational models.

- Proven ability to lead large, cross-functional, and geographically distributed teams.

- Strong governance, risk management, and decision-making capabilities.

- Excellent executive-level communication and stakeholder management skills.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

- Working knowledge of DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).

- Proficiency with delivery and collaboration tools such as JIRA and Confluence.

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline.

- 12-16 years of progressive experience in software delivery or engineering leadership roles.

- Mandatory experience in a SaaS or software product organisation.

- Professional certifications such as PMP, SAFe, or Agile certifications.

- Experience managing enterprise-scale SaaS platforms and global releases.

- Familiarity with security, compliance, and availability standards (e. g., SOC 2 ISO, SLAs).

- Good understanding of information security and privacy principles related to organisational and confidential data, including data classification, masking, retention, destruction, and access control.

- Awareness of relevant regulatory requirements and the ability to apply basic security controls are a plus.
