Our deal process and mobile platform provides wastepickers with access to fair and consistent income opportunities.
Similar to fair trade agriculture, our platform creates transparency and accountability from the base of the supply chain to the store shelf.
This results in more efficient shared-value chains and higher quality recycled plastic.
We provide expertise to help catalyze brands and manufacturers to replace the use of virgin plastic with ethically sourced recycled plastic, thereby immediately improving the social and environmental impact of their products.

Job Description:
Duties and Key Responsibilities:
Aggregation Centre and Project Management:
- Network with various companies, vendors and stakeholders to identify right source of good quality raw materials in loose / bale form (PolyolefinsHDPE and PP).
- Manage segregation of scrap (Loose or Bale) based on quality standards.
- Manage site level production teams to ensure production as planned.
- Suggest go-to-market strategies for sales (recyclers and manufacturers ).
- Work with partners to value add the feedstock to either washed flakes or granules.
- Create a market for different items of Phugga (PolyolefinsHDPE and PP).
- Manage factory compliance and P&L account.
- Implement SOPs for the aggregation, segregation, QA and QC of plastic waste (PolyolefinsHDPE and PP).
- Continuously improve SOPs to optimize performance (Lean manufacturing principle and six sigma design process).
- Identify and implement key projects and kaizens to increase productivity to hit the target.
- Ensure projects are implemented on time and as per approved budgets.
Reporting and Documentation:
- Ensure timely, concise and accurate reports on a daily, weekly and monthly basis on prescribed formats on project progress.
- Standardise machine inspection check sheet, pre dispatch check sheet and operation check sheets at site level.
- Ensure segregation is carried out as per required quality standards.
General responsibilities:
- Ensure professionalism at all times and demonstrate exemplary prioritisation of workload skills.
- Ensure that the PFC policies, SOPs and protocols are being adhered to at all levels of the company.
- Ensure strict adherence to data confidentiality and security.
- Willingness to travel frequently across PFC site locations, sometimes at short notice, including other places as per need of project or the company.
- Work closely with the PFC team and Partners.
Knowledge, Experience and Qualifications:
- Degree in Chemical/ Mechanical/ Plastics Engineering.
- MBA would be an added advantage.
- 5- 7 years of experience in Operations.
- Good Sales / Customer relationship management skills, good negotiation skill, good vendor / stakeholder management skill and very good networking skills.
- Good understanding of plastics and plastic recycling.
- Attention to detail.
- Multitasker, managing multiple projects in a manner that focuses the team and drives results.
- Excellent people management skills.
- Personal qualities of integrity, credibility, and commitment to the mission of Plastics For Change.
- Fluent in English & Tamil.
- In addition, Hindi would be an advantage.
