Our client, a global consulting firm, is supporting a leading player in the infrastructure sector to establish a new manufacturing facility. This initiative is part of the client's broader capacity expansion strategy to cater to the growing demand in the building materials and pipes market.

They are seeking an experienced Operational Consultant to support the end-to-end setup of a greenfield manufacturing plant in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. The consultant will play a key role in translating design plans into operational execution, ensuring seamless project management, and delivering a plant that is optimised for efficiency and future growth.

Key Responsibilities:

- Oversee and manage the operational aspects of setting up the plant from scratch

- Support in planning the facility layout and workflows to optimise production and efficiency

- Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and construction teams to ensure timely delivery of project milestones

- Advise on operational readiness, commissioning plans, and early-stage production requirements

- Report progress and key risks to senior client stakeholders and the consulting firms project leadership team

- Identify and resolve on-ground operational bottlenecks in collaboration with plant design and construction experts

Your Background:

- 5 to 10 years of experience in the building materials or pipes manufacturing sector

- Strong exposure to plant setup, operational planning, and project management

- Experience working below plant head level, with hands-on involvement in operations establishment

- Proven ability to coordinate with cross-functional teams and external vendors

- Engineering degree or relevant technical qualification preferred

- Strong problem-solving, planning, and stakeholder management skills

This is a 12-month (extendable) contractual opportunity in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, with an expectation of working onsite at the plant location.
