Plant Manager - Plastics Manufacturing

Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced Plant Manager to lead product development, plant operations, and capacity expansion for an established plastics manufacturing organization.

Location: Pune, Maharashtra

Experience: 12 - 15 Years

Qualification: Bachelor's Degree in Plastics/Polymer/Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline

Industry: Plastics Manufacturing

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead new product development, tooling, process engineering, and production scale-up across plastic extrusion and injection/blow molding.

- Drive plant expansion, factory infrastructure development, machinery installation, and commissioning.

- Manage CAPEX/OPEX, value engineering, material waste reduction, and product cost optimization.

- Ensure production efficiency, product quality, process improvement, and manufacturing compliance.

- Coordinate with engineering teams, contractors, machinery vendors, and statutory authorities for plant setup and safety approvals.

Candidate Profile:

- Strong hands-on experience in both plastic extrusion and injection/blow molding.

- Proven experience in plant management, capacity expansion, and new product development.

- Exposure to plant setup, factory construction, machinery installation, and commissioning.

- Sound knowledge of polymer materials, tooling, process optimization, and statutory safety compliance.

- Experience with ERP systems and Lean Manufacturing/Six Sigma will be an added advantage.
