- Our clients are a leading multinational manufacturing organisation with its head office in Mumbai, specialising in high-volume, continuous process products. They have ambitious growth plans and have pan-India, multilocational, profitable & growing manufacturing operations.
- Our clients are seeking an accomplished HR & IR Manager based in Chakan (near Pune) to take ownership of the HR function of the manufacturing plant. The plant has a total (on-roll and off-roll) employee strength of 300#. The manager will report to the plant head and the HR Head in Mumbai.
- Will be expected to set up HR systems and processes, and drive initiatives to transform the plant into a Modern Business setup.
- Ideal candidates must demonstrate high initiative, ownership, and integrity and possess a strong entrepreneurial drive and vision.
Key responsibilities:
Talent Management:
- Oversee all recruitment, hiring, and onboarding processes for plant staff.
- Conduct manpower planning and develop strategies for talent retention.
- Manage performance appraisal processes and conduct competency mapping.
Employee and Labour Relations:
- Manage employee relations and resolve workplace conflicts and grievances.
- Ensure discipline within the organization and handle disciplinary actions and domestic inquiries as needed.
- May be responsible for negotiating collective bargaining agreements.
Payroll, Compliance and Administration:
- Ensure the plant complies with all relevant labor laws, wage regulations, and health and safety standards.
- Administer compensation, benefits, and payroll for plant employees.
- Maintain accurate HR records and documentation.
- Liaise with government officials, such as the factory inspector and labor department.
Training and Development:
- Develop and implement training and development programs for the workforce.
- Work on organizational development and workforce planning.
Health and Safety:
- Coordinate employee welfare, health, and safety programs.
- Help ensure the creation and maintenance of safe working conditions.
Strategic Support:
- Support plant leadership with strategic HR initiatives.
- Drive employee engagement and retention initiatives.
Job Description:
1. The Head HR, Personnel, and Administration of the plant has over 200 on-roll and 100 off-roll employees.
2. Introduce HR systems, processes, SOPs, and KPIs
3. Double the headcount in the next 2 years
4. Manage L&D, PMS, annual appraisals, and other HR functions
5. Ensure employee motivation and engagement, control attrition, compliance, and safety.
6. Manage employee relations, grievances, and disciplinary proceedings.
Candidate Profile:
1. Education: Graduate / MBAs (Full-time / Part-time).
2. Should have 8 - 20 years of relevant talent acquisition, employee relations, compliance with labour laws, training and development, and managing compensation and benefits experience from the Manufacturing Industry.
3. Excellent communication skills.
