Compensation: Up to 50 LPA

Language Requirement: Proficiency in Tamil is a must

Role Summary

We are seeking a seasoned HR professional to lead the Human Resources function across two brewery units in Chennai. This role demands strategic HR leadership, strong labor and union management skills, and hands-on experience in end-to-end HR operations. The Plant HR will lead a team of 4 direct reports and serve as a key partner in driving employee engagement, compliance, and operational HR excellence.

Key Responsibilities

- Oversee and manage all HR functions at two brewery locations, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and compliance with statutory requirements

- Lead the Hire-to-Retire (H2R) processes including onboarding, performance management, and employee exits

- Handle payroll operations and ensure timely and accurate processing

- Drive conflict resolution initiatives while maintaining a healthy and productive work environment

- Manage union relationships, lead negotiations, and maintain industrial harmony

- Ensure strict compliance with all applicable labor laws and company policies

- Represent the organization during audits, inspections, and compliance reviews

- Build and nurture a high-performing HR team through mentorship and development

- Foster a positive work culture aligned with United Breweries core values

Required Skills & Qualifications

- 12+ years of relevant experience in plant HR, preferably in manufacturing or FMCG sectors

- In-depth knowledge of labor laws, statutory compliances, and HR best practices

- Proven experience in union management and industrial relations

- Strong leadership, interpersonal, and conflict management skills

- Proficiency in Tamil is mandatory

- Postgraduate degree/diploma in HR or Industrial Relations is preferred
