
Role Purpose:
This is a Factory HR role, where the incumbent will be responsible for end-to-end HR operations for the factory while also acting as a strategic HR Business Partner to the Leaf division. The role ensures statutory compliance, stable industrial relations, workforce productivity, and a strong people-first culture, while enabling business outcomes through effective HR partnering.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Factory HR Operations & Compliance:
- Lead end-to-end HR operations for the factory, covering permanent employees, contract labor, apprentices, and trainees.
- Ensure 100% compliance with applicable labor laws including Factories Act, Industrial Disputes Act, CLRA, Minimum Wages, EPF, ESI, Gratuity, Bonus, and State-specific statutes.
- Manage statutory inspections, audits, licenses, returns, and liaison with labor authorities.
- Oversee payroll inputs, attendance systems, shift rosters, overtime, and statutory deductions.
- Maintain accurate HR records, registers, and documentation as per legal and audit requirements.
- Drive contract labor governance, vendor compliance, and headcount optimization.
2. Industrial & Employee Relations:
- Maintain harmonious industrial relations.
- Handle grievance management, disciplinary processes, domestic inquiries, and resolution mechanisms.
- Support factory leadership on discipline, productivity, absenteeism, and workforce stability.
- Foster a culture of trust, engagement, and transparent communication on the shop floor.
3. Talent, Learning, Engagement & Performance Management:
- Support manpower planning, recruitment, onboarding, and probation confirmation for factory roles.
- Drive skill development, statutory training, safety training, and capability building initiatives.
- Partner with EHS and ESG teams to strengthen safety culture, compliance and governance.
- Lead employee engagement initiatives aligned with organizational values and manufacturing pride.
- Manage the performance management, goal setting cycles for factory employees and officers.
4. HR Business Partnering - Leaf:
- Act as a strategic HR partner to the Leaf Team.
- Support workforce planning, organizational design, and capability building aligned to business growth.
- Partner on performance management, goal setting, and talent reviews.
- Support change management, culture integration, and employee engagement initiatives across locations.

Qualifications & Experience:
- MBA / MSW in Human Resources or equivalent qualification.
- 10 - 15 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 6 - 8 years in factory / manufacturing HR.
- Strong exposure to industrial relations, labor law compliance, and factory HR operations.
- Experience in FMCG, manufacturing, or process industries will be an advantage.
