Experience: 14 - 16 years of relevant HR experience, preferably 8+ years in a managerial/leadership role in pharmaceutical or regulated manufacturing
Qualification: MBA/PGDM in HR / Industrial Relations / Human Resources or equivalent
Industry: Pharmaceutical Formulation Manufacturing
Job Purpose:
To lead the complete HR function of the pharmaceutical manufacturing plant and ensure effective manpower planning, employee engagement, industrial relations, statutory compliance and HR operations while supporting a strong WHO-GMP, quality and compliance culture.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead overall HR operations and provide HR support to Plant Management and all functional departments.
- Develop and execute manpower plans for Production, QA, QC, Engineering, Warehouse and support functions.
- Manage recruitment, onboarding, manpower deployment, performance management, promotions and employee development.
- Ensure compliance with applicable labour laws, statutory requirements and company HR policies.
- Manage Industrial Relations, employee grievances, disciplinary matters and workforce engagement.
- Manage permanent and contract manpower and ensure contractor statutory compliance.
- Ensure effective GMP induction, employee training, competency development and training documentation in coordination with QA and functional heads.
- Maintain HR records, attendance, leave, payroll inputs, HRMS and employee documentation.
- Support WHO-GMP, customer and regulatory audits by ensuring HR policies, personnel records, job descriptions, training and competency records are audit-ready.
- Drive employee engagement, retention, welfare and productivity initiatives.
- Monitor HR KPIs including manpower, attrition, absenteeism, overtime, recruitment, training and employee productivity.
- Coordinate with Plant Head, QA, Production, EHS, Finance and other departments for effective plant operations.
- Promote a culture of GMP compliance, discipline, safety, quality and continuous improvement.
