Plant Head - Vehicle Manufacturing

Role Overview:

As the Plant Head for Vehicle Manufacturing, you will assume complete strategic and operational leadership for our state-of-the-art facility in Delhi NCR. This pivotal role involves orchestrating all facets of manufacturing operations, from production planning and execution to quality assurance, supply chain management, engineering, and P&L accountability. You will lead a large, diverse workforce, fostering a culture of high performance, safety, and continuous improvement. Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams including R&D, Sales, Finance, and HR, you will translate business objectives into operational excellence, ensuring the efficient production of high-quality vehicles. Your strategic vision and execution will directly impact our market competitiveness, customer satisfaction, and overall profitability, driving sustainable growth for the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

- Direct and optimize all plant operations, ensuring the efficient and timely production of vehicles while adhering to stringent quality standards and safety protocols.

- Manage the plant's profit and loss (P&L) statement, developing and executing strategies to achieve financial targets, control costs, and enhance overall profitability.

- Champion and implement Lean manufacturing principles and process excellence initiatives to drive continuous improvement, eliminate waste, and maximize operational efficiency.

- Oversee the entire supply chain for the plant, optimizing logistics, inventory management, and supplier relationships to ensure seamless material flow and cost-effectiveness.

- Establish and uphold robust quality management systems, ensuring all manufactured vehicles meet or exceed industry standards and customer expectations.

- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team across all operational functions, fostering a positive work environment and managing employee relations effectively.

- Drive the adoption and integration of advanced manufacturing technologies and automation solutions to enhance productivity, reduce costs, and improve product quality.

- Manage critical manufacturing projects, from initial process design and engineering to successful implementation, ensuring adherence to timelines and budgets.

- Implement rigorous cost control measures across all operational areas, identifying opportunities for savings without compromising product quality or operational integrity.

- Oversee manufacturing engineering functions, ensuring optimal equipment performance, maintenance strategies, and support for new product introductions.

- Develop and execute strategic operational plans aligned with the company's long-term business objectives, ensuring the plant's sustained growth and competitiveness.

Required Skillset:

- Demonstrated expertise in leading large-scale automotive manufacturing operations, encompassing full P&L responsibility and strategic operational planning.

- Profound understanding and successful application of Lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and other process excellence methodologies to drive significant operational improvements.

- Proven ability to manage complex supply chains, optimize logistics, and implement effective cost control strategies within a high-volume manufacturing environment.

- Exceptional leadership capabilities, with a track record of building, motivating, and developing high-performing teams and fostering positive employee relations.

- Strong command over manufacturing project management, process design, and the successful implementation of automation and advanced manufacturing technologies.

- Superior financial acumen, including budgeting, forecasting, cost analysis, and driving profitability in a competitive industry.

- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills, adept at influencing and collaborating with diverse internal and external partners.

- An engineering degree (Mechanical, Production, or Automotive) from a premier institution is highly preferred; an MBA or equivalent management qualification would be an added advantage.

- This is a demanding, on-site leadership role based in the Delhi NCR region, requiring full-time presence and strategic oversight of all plant operations.
