Job Location: Suratgarh, Sri Ganganagar, Rajasthan

Qualification: B.Sc DIFAT / B.Tech /BE-Chemical / Mechanical/Electrical

Experience 15 to 20 Years Age (45 to 50 Years)

Reporting to: Managing Director / VP Technical

Job Summary:

The Unit Head is responsible for overall plant operations, profitability, safety, compliance, and performance of the ethanol manufacturing unit. The role ensures smooth production, cost optimization, statutory compliance, people management, and alignment with company business objectives.

Role & Responsibilities:

- Oversee daily operations of the distillery plant including fermentation, distillation, and maturation processes.

- Ensure production targets, quality, and yield standards are met or exceeded.

- Lead and manage a multidisciplinary team including production, maintenance, quality, safety, and logistics.

- Monitor and optimize plant efficiency, energy usage, and raw material consumption.

- Maintain all regulatory and statutory compliances as per Excise, Pollution Control Board, and Factory norms.

- Drive continuous improvement initiatives (Kaizen, Lean, TPM, etc.) to enhance productivity and reduce downtime.

- Implement and monitor safety protocols and EHS standards across the plant.

- Prepare and manage plant budgets, cost control, and MIS reporting.

- Coordinate with procurement, supply chain, and sales teams for smooth operation and dispatch planning.

- Troubleshoot operational issues and ensure minimal production downtime.

- Capacity utilization & ethanol yield

- Cost per KL of ethanol

- Plant uptime & energy efficiency

- Safety performance (LTI / incidents)

- Statutory compliance status

- Employee productivity & attrition

Other Skills:

- In-depth knowledge of distillation processes, fermentation technologies, and utilities.

- Strong understanding of statutory laws including Excise, Pollution, Labour, and Safety.

- Proven Leadership & Team Management Skills
