Industry Overview:

We are seeking a senior plant leadership professional from the synthetic rubber manufacturing industry to manage operations at a world-class E-SBR manufacturing facility within a large industrial chemicals and polymers organization.

The plant manufactures Emulsion Styrene-Butadiene Rubber (E-SBR) used in automotive tires, conveyor belts, hoses, footwear, seals, and engineered rubber products, serving both domestic and international markets. Operations are technology-intensive, export-oriented, and governed by stringent safety, quality, and regulatory standards, with close collaboration with overseas technology partners.

Role Overview:

The Plant Head will be responsible for end-to-end plant operations, ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant manufacturing of synthetic rubber products. This role focuses on execution excellence, day-to-day operational leadership, and coordination with internal and external stakeholders, while aligning with strategic direction set by the COO.

The role requires deep hands-on experience in rubber/polymer manufacturing, strong people leadership, and the ability to operate in a multicultural, technology-driven environment, including regular interaction with Chinese and international partners.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead overall plant operations, including production, maintenance, utilities, quality, EHS, logistics, and shift operations

- Drive operational efficiency, capacity utilization, and process stability across rubber manufacturing units

- Ensure strict compliance with safety, environmental, statutory, and regulatory requirements

- Oversee raw material planning, inventory control, and dispatch coordination to ensure uninterrupted production

- Monitor and improve KPIs, yields, operating costs, and plant-level margins

- Coordinate with commercial and planning teams on demand fulfillment and customer commitments

- Support process optimization, technology upgrades, and new grade introductions as directed by the COO

- Build, lead, and develop plant-level leadership and technical teams

- Act as the primary on-site interface for technology partners, auditors, and overseas collaborators

Candidate Profile:

- 15+ years of experience in synthetic rubber / polymer / chemical manufacturing

- Proven leadership experience in large, complex manufacturing plants

- Experience in export-oriented or technology-driven manufacturing environments preferred

Ideal Background:

- Degree in Engineering or Chemical Engineering

- Prior roles as Plant Head, Deputy Plant Head, Operations Head, or Senior Manufacturing Leader

- Experience working with international partners, joint ventures, or overseas technology licensors is highly desirable
