Plant Head - Steel Manufacturing Greenfield Projects

Job Summary:

We are looking to recruit an experienced and dynamic Plant Head at the Sr. General Manager / General Manager level who will lead the entire establishment, commissioning, and operations of the plant.

ESSENTIAL & DESIRABLE SKILL SETS

- Proven track record of greenfield project execution and plant commissioning in India.

- Hands-on experience in managing large-scale operations (50,000 MT+ capacity)

- Deep knowledge of manufacturing processes, quality systems, safety norms, and compliance

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Project Phase - Plant Establishment & Installation:

- Lead the complete project execution for setting up the plant from scratch, including layout, civil, mechanical, electrical, and utilities.

- Coordinate with consultants, contractors, machinery suppliers, and internal teams for timely execution.

- Ensure adherence to timelines, budget, and statutory compliance during the installation phase.

- Set up best-in-class infrastructure, systems, and processes aligned with the company's growth vision.

Operational Phase - Plant Management:

- Oversee daily plant operations including Production, Maintenance, Quality, EHS (Environment, Health & Safety), and Supply Chain.

- Drive operational excellence through effective resource planning, manpower management, and lean practices.

- Ensure the plant meets output targets in terms of volume, quality, and cost.

- Build and lead a strong team and develop a culture of ownership, safety, and continuous improvement.

- Implement KPIs and regular reporting systems for productivity, efficiency, and profitability.

- Ensure compliance with all statutory, legal, and regulatory requirements.
