My Client is one of the country's largest manufacturer of pipes in India Position Title: Plant Head KEY RESULT AREAS: - Conceptualize the improvement in productivity, quality, reliability, yield and cost efficiency in overall plant operations - Ensure uninterrupted and safe plant operations - Maintain, ensure and implement SHE standards - Ensure proper development and implementation systems and improve orderliness - Ensure workplace training and lifelong learning enabling workers MAJOR ACTIVITIES: - Prepare production plan based on market requirements of designated size & specification - Meet Production plan requirements by planning, assigning targets and tracking progress against targets. - Plan maintenance activities for improvement in productivity by reducing breakdowns. - Work on succession planning of the workforce, appraise the member's performance & provide feedback. - Direct procurement strategies / contingency plans and ensure they are aligned with production requirements. - Develop quality plan and ensure high quality first time minimizing rework. - Trouble shoot process, quality, safety, capacity and cost issues - Overall coordination & control of all activities related with plant operations & maintenance KEY DECISIONS: Decisions made by holder: - Plan, organize and ensure the resources for operations - Improvements and modifications in the plant operations - Recommendations made by holder - Capex / Opex for plant modifications and maintenance of business - Reward / Punishment for the operating team KEY RELATIONS: Internal; - All Supportservices - Maintenance, QC, Fire & safety services, Tech. services. External: - Marketing, Commercial & Centralized services. COMPETENCY: Educational Qualification: Required: Post Graduate Diploma Engg./B Sc./ B.E./ B. Tech./ CIPET Diplom Preferred: B.E. / B. Tech. (Plastic technology) Licenses/certifications: Experience: 25 years' experience in PVC Extrusion Industry. Skills Functional: - Technical, operational knowledge of the PVC & Polymer compounding, extrusion, pneumatic conveying, pipes quality standards. - Knowledge of SHE issues for the product line - Problem solving skills for analyzing the problems
