1) Job Purpose:
The Plant Head will lead end-to-end operations of the Off-Highway Tires (OHT) manufacturing plant, ensuring production efficiency, product quality, workforce safety, and cost optimization. The role requires strong leadership, deep knowledge of tire manufacturing processes, and the ability to drive continuous improvement, operational excellence, and global standards in a fast-paced environment
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic & Operational Leadership
- Lead the plant's overall operations including Production, Maintenance, Quality, Supply Chain, and EHS (Environment, Health & Safety).
- Translate business goals into operational plans to achieve productivity, cost, and delivery targets.
- Drive yield maximization and waste reduction through process improvements and technology upgrades.
- Ensure adherence to company policies, statutory compliances, and industry standards.
Production & Quality Management
- Ensure production volumes meet demand and customer requirements within defined cost parameters.
- Maintain high standards of product quality and compliance with global OHT tire specifications.
- Collaborate with R&D and Quality teams to implement best practices and new technologies.
People Leadership & Culture
- Lead, mentor, and develop cross-functional teams across the plant.
- Foster a culture of safety, accountability, innovation, and continuous learning.
- Ensure effective labor relations and employee engagement at all levels.
Cost & Efficiency
- Optimize resources, energy consumption, and operating costs.
- Implement Lean Manufacturing, TPM, Six Sigma, and digital manufacturing initiatives.
- Oversee plant budgets, CAPEX, and OPEX planning and control.
Sustainability & Safety
- Ensure a safe working environment and compliance with EHS regulations.
- Drive sustainability initiatives aligned with corporate ESG goals.
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of tire manufacturing processes, plant engineering, and automation.
- Leadership with proven ability to manage large teams and complex operations.
- Data-driven decision-making with expertise in Lean, TPM, Six Sigma.
- Strong stakeholder management with corporate leadership, suppliers, and regulatory bodies.
- Excellent communication, crisis management, and change management skills.
