Plant Head/Operations Head

Role Overview:

We are seeking a seasoned Plant Head / Operations Head to lead and manage complete plant operations. The role demands strong expertise in Production, Quality, Administration, HR, and Maintenance, along with accountability for Plant Profit & Loss. The ideal candidate will drive operational excellence, ensure compliance, and deliver sustainable profitability while fostering a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

- Production Management: Oversee daily production activities, ensure achievement of targets, optimize resources, and maintain cost efficiency.

- Quality Assurance: Implement and monitor quality systems, ensure compliance with standards, and drive continuous improvement.

- Maintenance: Lead preventive and predictive maintenance programs to minimize downtime and enhance equipment reliability.

- Administration & HR: Manage workforce planning, recruitment, training, employee engagement, and compliance with labor laws.

- Safety & Compliance: Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations.

- Promote a safe workplace culture.

- Profit & Loss Accountability: Own the plant's P&L, monitor financial performance, control costs, and improve profitability.

- Strategic Planning: Develop and implement operational strategies to improve productivity, reduce costs, and enhance customer satisfaction.

- Cross-functional Leadership: Collaborate with supply chain, finance, and senior management to align plant operations with business objectives.

- Reporting & Analysis: Monitor KPIs, prepare operational and financial reports, and present performance updates to senior leadership.

Required Skills & Experience:

- 17-22 years of overall experience in manufacturing/operations, with at least 5+ years in a leadership role.

- Proven expertise in Production, Quality, HR, Administration, Maintenance, and P&L management.

- Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies.

- Demonstrated ability to manage large teams and deliver operational and financial results.

- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal abilities.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Production, or related field).

- MBA or Postgraduate qualification in Operations/Management (preferred).
