About the Role:

We are looking for an experienced Plant Head to lead the operations of a manufacturing facility in Coimbatore. The role will be responsible for driving overall plant performance, operational excellence, productivity, quality, cost efficiency and people leadership.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience in managing manufacturing operations and leading large teams in a structured industrial environment.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead and oversee the overall plant operations, ensuring achievement of production, quality, delivery and cost objectives.

- Drive operational excellence, productivity improvement and continuous improvement initiatives across the plant.

- Develop and implement manufacturing strategies aligned with overall business objectives.

- Ensure effective production planning, capacity utilisation and resource optimisation.

- Drive quality standards and ensure adherence to established processes, systems and statutory requirements.

- Identify opportunities for cost reduction, process improvement and efficiency enhancement.

- Work closely with cross-functional teams including Production, Quality, Engineering, Maintenance, Supply Chain, Procurement, HR and Finance.

- Ensure effective manpower planning, capability development and succession planning for key roles.

- Drive a strong safety and compliance culture across the plant.

- Manage plant budgets and contribute to effective cost and financial management.

- Lead plant-level projects, expansion initiatives and other strategic operational priorities as required.

- Provide regular operational updates and insights to senior management.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

- 15-30 years of overall experience in manufacturing/plant operations.

- Experience in Industrial, Automotive or Textile industries preferred.

- Proven experience in a Plant Head / Factory Head / Manufacturing Head / Operations Head / Unit Head role or a similar senior manufacturing leadership position.

- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, production management, quality systems, maintenance and operational excellence.

- Demonstrated experience in leading large teams and managing complex plant operations.

- Strong exposure to productivity improvement, cost optimisation and continuous improvement initiatives.

- Good commercial and business understanding with the ability to translate operational priorities into business outcomes.

- Strong leadership, stakeholder management and problem-solving skills.

- Candidates with experience in structured manufacturing organisations / MNC environments would be preferred.

Education:

- Graduate/Postgraduate qualification in Engineering or a relevant technical discipline from a reputed institution. MBA/PGDM would be an added advantage.
