Key Responsibilities:
1. Plant Operations & Production:
- Lead end-to-end plant operations to meet production volumes, delivery commitments, and cost targets.
- Ensure effective utilization of machining resources through optimal planning and execution.
- Drive SQCD (Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery) performance across all departments.
- Implement and sustain Lean Manufacturing, TPM, and Operational Excellence initiatives.
2. Manufacturing Engineering - Machining (Mandatory):
- Provide strong technical leadership for machining manufacturing engineering, including process design, optimization, and industrialization.
- Drive cycle time reduction, line balancing, tooling strategy, automation, and productivity improvements.
3. Quality Management:
- Ensure adherence to IATF 16949, ISO standards, customer-specific requirements, and quality systems.
- Drive a zero-defect mindset through root cause analysis, corrective and preventive actions.
- Lead customer audits, internal audits, and resolution of customer complaints and warranty issues.
- Monitor and improve PPM levels, first-pass yield, and overall process quality.
4. Maintenance & Asset Reliability:
- Oversee preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance for all machining and utility equipment.
- Drive energy efficiency, safety, and sustainability initiatives within the plant.
5. Production Planning & Control (PPC):
- Lead capacity planning, demand alignment, and production scheduling to meet customer requirements.
- Optimize inventory levels, WIP, lead time, and throughput.
- Ensure seamless coordination between PPC, production, logistics, and customers.
- Drive adherence to committed delivery schedules and improve forecast accuracy.
6. Logistics & Supply Chain:
- Manage inbound and outbound logistics, ensuring timely receipt of raw materials and on-time dispatch of finished goods.
- Optimize material flow, warehousing, packaging, and transportation costs.
- Ensure compliance with domestic and export logistics requirements.
- Work closely with suppliers and customers to improve supply chain efficiency.
7. HR, People & Industrial Relations:
- Lead and develop the plant workforce through manpower planning, skill development, and succession planning.
- Foster a culture of safety, discipline, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Ensure compliance with labor laws, statutory requirements, and IR stability.
- Drive employee engagement, performance management, and leadership development.
