About the Role:
We are hiring a Plant Head for a leading pharmaceutical manufacturing organization based in Chennai.
The ideal candidate should have strong experience in managing large-scale pharmaceutical manufacturing operations with mandatory exposure to:
Position: Plant Head Injectable & OSD Manufacturing
Location: Chennai
Key Requirements:
- Proven experience as Plant Head or Site Head in a regulated pharmaceutical manufacturing environment.
- Strong exposure to Injectables Manufacturing, including:
1. Large Volume Parenterals (LVP)
2. Small Volume Parenterals (SVP)
- Hands-on understanding of sterile manufacturing operations, aseptic processes, and regulatory compliance.
- Experience in managing Oral Solid Dosage (OSD) manufacturing operations.
- Expertise in production planning, quality systems, engineering, EHS, supply chain coordination, and cost optimization.
- Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements including USFDA, MHRA, EU-GMP, WHO-GMP, and other international standards.
- Experience handling technology transfers, audits, inspections, and plant expansion initiatives.
- Demonstrated leadership in driving operational excellence, productivity improvement, and compliance culture.
- Candidate should have a stable career track record, preferably with not more than 45 organizations throughout their career.
Preferred Background:
- Currently working as Plant Head, Site Head, Operations Head, or a senior manufacturing leader in a reputed pharmaceutical company.
- Exposure to both Injectables (LVP/SVP) and OSD manufacturing is mandatory.
- Strong people management skills with the ability to lead cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead end-to-end manufacturing operations for Injectable and OSD facilities.
- Ensure adherence to quality, regulatory, safety, and compliance standards.
- Drive production targets, capacity utilization, and cost efficiencies.
- Oversee engineering, maintenance, validation, quality, warehouse, and supply chain functions.
- Support regulatory inspections and customer audits.
- Develop and mentor leadership teams while ensuring operational continuity and succession planning.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing and support functions.
