Role Overview:

The Plant Head Foundry is a pivotal leadership role responsible for the overall strategic direction and operational excellence of our foundry plant in Uttarakhand. This individual will oversee all aspects of plant operations, ensuring efficient production, superior quality, stringent cost control, and effective project management. The Plant Head will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including production, quality assurance, maintenance, and supply chain, as well as interact with senior management to align plant objectives with overall business goals. This role directly impacts the company's profitability, customer satisfaction, and market competitiveness by ensuring the timely delivery of high-quality castings at optimal cost.

Key Responsibilities :

- Spearhead the development and implementation of strategic plans to optimize plant performance, enhance productivity, and achieve operational excellence for the foundry.

- Direct all production activities, ensuring adherence to production schedules, quality standards, and safety regulations to meet customer demands and business objectives.

- Establish and maintain rigorous quality control processes and systems to guarantee the production of high-quality castings that meet or exceed customer specifications.

- Implement and monitor cost control measures across all plant operations to minimize expenses, improve efficiency, and maximize profitability for the organization.

- Lead and manage capital projects, including equipment upgrades, facility expansions, and process improvements, ensuring on-time and within-budget completion to enhance plant capabilities.

- Oversee the effective utilization of ERP systems to streamline operations, improve data accuracy, and enhance decision-making across all plant functions for better resource management.

- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, employee engagement, and safety within the plant to create a positive and productive work environment for all employees.

Required Skillset :

- Demonstrated expertise in managing all facets of foundry plant operations, including melting, molding, casting, and finishing processes.

- Proven ability to drive production efficiency, improve quality control, and implement cost reduction strategies within a manufacturing environment.

- Strong project management skills, with a track record of successfully leading and executing capital projects and process improvements.

- In-depth knowledge of ERP systems and their application in optimizing manufacturing operations and improving data-driven decision-making.

- Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and manage cross-functional teams and effectively communicate with stakeholders at all levels.

- Bachelor's degree in Metallurgy/Mechanical Engineering, Metallurgy, or a related field; a Master's degree is preferred.

- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, on-site manufacturing environment in Uttarakhand.

- Minimum 20-30 years of experience in foundry operations, with at least 10 years in a leadership role.
