Description:
We are seeking a seasoned Plant Head to lead end-to-end manufacturing operations of a large-scale food ingredient processing facility. The role requires strong shop-floor authority, cross-functional leadership, and complete ownership of plant performance including production, quality, SCM coordination, cost control, and compliance.
The ideal candidate should have proven experience in ingredient or agri-based processing environments (malt, grain processing, extraction, dehydration, blending, bulk food ingredients, etc.) with Greenfield/Brownfield industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Full P&L ownership of plant operations
- Lead greenfield / brownfield expansion projects
- Lead production planning, process optimization, and capacity utilization
- Drive yield improvement, cost/MT reduction & EBITDA enhancement
- Ensure adherence to BRC / ISO 22000 / HACCP / USFDA standards
- Oversee preventive maintenance, asset reliability & capex planning
- Drive strong shop-floor discipline & workforce engagement
- Collaborate with Supply Chain for RM planning & inventory optimization
- Represent plant during regulatory and customer audits
- Build second-line leadership & drive performance culture
Must-Have Experience:
- 15+ years in food / ingredient manufacturing
- Minimum 3-5 years as Plant Head / Unit Head
- Experience handling 2000+ MT/month capacity
- Exposure to ingredient processing (grain, malt, bulk food inputs, powder processing, etc.) (preferred)
- Strong commercial & cost understanding
- Experience in export-oriented compliance environment
- Proven team leadership of 150+ workforce
Preferred Background:
- B.Tech / M.Tech in Food Tech / Chemical (Mandatory)
- MBA (Operations) (preferred)
- Experience in agri-based or process-driven plants (preferred)
