Job Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Plant Head to oversee and lead our Electric Vehicle manufacturing plant. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in EV production, operations management, and strategic planning, with a proven track record of driving manufacturing excellence, ensuring quality, and optimizing productivity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic leadership and direction for the entire EV manufacturing plant to achieve production, quality, safety, and cost objectives.
- Oversee day-to-day plant operations, ensuring smooth functioning of all manufacturing processes.
- Develop and implement manufacturing strategies, policies, and procedures to enhance operational efficiency.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives to optimize production processes, reduce waste, and improve product quality.
- Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.
- Manage and develop a high-performing team of managers, supervisors, and technical staff.
- Collaborate with R&D, Supply Chain, Quality, and Sales teams to meet production targets and customer expectations.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Manage CAPEX and OPEX budgets, ensuring cost-effective operations.
- Stay abreast of technological advancements and industry best practices in EV manufacturing.
- Foster a culture of innovation, safety, and quality.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum of 20 years of experience in automotive manufacturing, with at least 10 years in EV or related green mobility sector.
- Proven leadership experience in managing large manufacturing plants.
- Strong understanding of EV technologies, battery manufacturing, and electric drivetrains is preferred.
- Demonstrated expertise in lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and other process improvement methodologies.
- Excellent strategic planning, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to lead change and drive organizational transformation.
Preferred Attributes:
- Experience working in a fast-paced, innovative environment.
- Knowledge of international standards and certifications related to EV manufacturing.
- Track record of successful project management and new product launches.
