Plant Head - Consumer Durables Manufacturing

Key Responsibilities:

- Responsible for the Plants performance against the approved operating budget and forecasts.

- Participate in annual operating business plan and develop short-term and long-term plans for the plant ensuring necessary resources to deliver on business objectives with a specific focus on planning for key cost metrics (e.g. manpower cost, materials cost, etc.)

- Develop policies and procedures to ensure that the Plant, equipment and the resources are effectively utilized.

- Drive profitability and ensure bottom-line through driving corporate initiatives at plant and identifying new cost optimization initiatives (e.g. reduction in scrap cost, in-process wastage maintenance and energy cost).

- Develop and test new concepts, new products with continuous consultation with design and manufacturing team.

- Ensure operating compliance to all governmental regulations and applicable statutes.

- Responsible for the development and achievement of monthly and annual costs forecasts in production.

- Review plant operating performances to ensure adherence to approved production schedules, quality standards, cost standards, shipping plans, and inventory levels.

- Increase the capacity of the plant as per plan, reducing the wastage and improving the quality standards.

- Suggest innovative practices and lean projects to improve operational efficiency.

- Review over all departmental performance and actions being taken on a timely, frequent basis.

- Ensure Health and Safety Management, Risk Management and Inventory Management.

Skills and Attributes:

- Experience of leading large-scale Manufacturing Unit using Injection Molding process.

- Knowledge of manufacturing processes, Plastic Processing Machines, Stitching and Assembly.

- Business Leadership and General Management abilities.

- Proven Project Management and team building experience.

- Financial performance analysis.

- Problem solving and analytical skills.

- Exposure to Six Sigma principles.

- Must have worked in SAP environment.
