Job Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Plant Head / COO to lead our electric vehicle manufacturing plant. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing end-to-end plant operations, driving operational excellence, ensuring safety, quality, and compliance, and aligning manufacturing processes with the companys growth objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operational Leadership: Manage and optimize all manufacturing operations, including production, quality control, maintenance, supply chain, and logistics.
- Strategic Planning: Develop and implement manufacturing strategies to support business growth, cost efficiency, and technological innovation.
- Quality & Compliance: Ensure adherence to industry standards, safety regulations, and environmental policies.
- Team Management: Lead, motivate, and develop a high-performing team of engineers, supervisors, and workers.
- Cost Management: Monitor and control manufacturing costs, improve efficiency, reduce wastage, and enhance productivity.
- Technology & Innovation: Drive adoption of Industry 4.0 practices, automation, and new manufacturing technologies.
- Supply Chain Coordination: Work closely with procurement and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of quality components.
- Customer Focus: Ensure that production meets customer specifications and delivery deadlines.
- Reporting & KPIs: Prepare reports for senior management on production metrics, efficiency, and quality standards.
Desired Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience as Plant Head, COO, or similar leadership role in automotive, EV, or heavy manufacturing industry.
- Strong understanding of electric vehicle manufacturing processes, battery technology, and automotive standards.
- Excellent leadership, strategic thinking, and decision-making skills.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- Proficiency in manufacturing ERP systems and Industry 4.0 technologies.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in electric vehicle design, battery management systems, or related fields.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies.
- International exposure or experience working with global supply chains.
