Plant Head

1. Overall Plant Operations:

- Manage end-to-end manufacturing of paper and packaging boards.

- Ensure production targets are achieved in terms of quantity, quality, and cost.

- Maximize plant efficiency and equipment utilization.

2. Production Management:

- Oversee all production departments:

1. Pulp Mill

2. Paper Machine

3. Recovery Boiler

4. Power Plant

5. Chemical Recovery

6. Finishing & Packing

- Monitor daily, weekly, and monthly production performance.

3. Safety & Compliance:

- Ensure compliance with EHS (Environment, Health & Safety) standards.

- Implement safe work practices and achieve zero major accidents.

- Ensure compliance with pollution control norms and statutory regulations.

4. Maintenance:

- Lead mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, and utilities teams.

- Minimize machine breakdowns.

- Plan preventive and predictive maintenance.

5. Cost Control:

- Optimize:

1. Raw material consumption

2. Energy consumption

3. Steam usage

4. Water usage

5. Chemical consumption

- Improve manufacturing cost per tonne.

6. Quality:

- Maintain product quality as per customer specifications.

- Reduce customer complaints and process variations.

- Coordinate with Quality Assurance teams.

7. People Management:

- Lead a workforce of several hundred to thousands of employees.

- Develop department heads and succession plans.

- Handle industrial relations and union management.

8. Projects & Continuous Improvement:

- Lead capacity expansion and modernization projects.

- Drive Lean Manufacturing, TPM, Six Sigma, and Kaizen initiatives.

- Improve Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).

9. Budgeting:

- Prepare annual operating and capital budgets.

- Monitor expenditure and profitability.

- Drive cost-saving initiatives.
