
Plant Head
- The Managing Director will be responsible for providing leadership and management to all segments of the production business in India.
- The position has complete P&L responsibility and oversight over the company's production and revenue growth, performance and profitability as well as company culture. The position in an international machine building company provides a great opportunity for second-level leaders to pursue their professional development.
- The Managing Director's duties include in particular: Operating the manufacturing plant in Ghiloth area, and ensuring production efficiency, safety, and product quality in line with Global Guidelines, as well as all related tasks.
- Furthermore, important leadership functions in building and/or maintaining a customer-focused company culture.
- Tasks : Develop short- and long-term strategic growth and profitability objectives within the established objectives and policies of the Board of Directors.
- Manage the local organization with the main functions production, supply chain, quality and admin.
- Operating the manufacturing plant with a build-to-order production process incl. organizational setup and professional staffing. Liaising with Sales & Service organizations
-Integration into the global group business processes and supply chain / developing Supply Chain
- Technical oversight of the workshop and factory installation
- Workforce and inventory planning, cost budget and capital expenditure planning Continuous improvement of delivery times
- Definition of product & service range in coordination with the Group Business Units and Support Units
- Selection and qualification of domestic supply chain partners for drawing parts, electric components, pneumatic components
- Ensure and improve compliance processes with internal and regulatory guidelines
- Strong interaction with Support and Business Units at Headquarters, Professional and disciplinary management of the employees.
- Setting up goals, assessing performance, providing continuous professional training for production teams
- Review and report the activities and results of India production.
- Profile: 10+ years' experience in manufacturing or engineering in a machine manufacturing company with responsibility of production organization, 5+ of progressive leadership experience is required, Experience working for an international company
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in engineering
- Broad knowledge about assembly process and production technologies e.g. machining & sheet metal parts
- In-depth understanding of MRP Logic and Production planning in SAP environment
- Understanding of electrical and pneumatic systems
- Familiar with following the strategic lead and process guidelines from HQ
- Able to cooperate / liaison in international matrix organization / with Business units and Support units in HQ as well as Sales Company
- Able to actively listen, influence and collaborate across global/regional/local levels and cross-functionally. Good at managing dynamic tensions and diverse perspectives
- Understanding of the functionality of SAP ERP systems.
- General understanding of data and document flows in build/design to order production
- Knowledge about India import and export mechanisms, Very good knowledge of English
- Ability to build a team successfully & maintain a positive, professional and encouraging company culture
