
Plant Finance Head:
Responsible for the financial operations, cost accounting, and statutory compliance of a manufacturing facility, acting as the financial bridge between factory performance and corporate strategy. Drive plant profitability, cost optimization, and financial control.
Key Responsibilities:
- Cost Accounting: Direct end-to-end costing, product margin analysis, and variance tracking.
- Budgeting - Cost Optimization: Monitor CAPEX/OPEX budgets and drive plant-level forecasting. Partner with the Commercial team to negotiate vendor/contract rates and minimize operational costs.
- Costing - Profitability: Oversee standard/actual costing, variance analysis, BOM routing, overhead absorption, yield losses, and contribution margins to drive efficiency.
- Budgeting - Forecasting: Lead annual budgeting and monthly rolling forecasts aligned with operational capacities.
- Compliance - Taxation: Oversee GST, local levies, direct/indirect taxes, and statutory audits.
- Inventory - Controls: Implement rigorous internal controls for inventory valuation and asset safeguarding.
- CAPEX/OPEX Management: Evaluate capital expenditure proposals and monitor ongoing operational expenses.
- Financial Management - MIS: Lead plant GL, AP/AR, costing, and payroll. Ensure Ind-AS compliance, month/quarter/year-end book closures, and accurate SAP records with budget variance reporting.
- Treasury - Working Capital: Optimize plant cash flows, vendor payments, bank relationships, and working capital cycles.
- Insurance - Risk: Manage plant insurance coverage to prevent over/under-coverage and lead insurance claim processes.
- Trust Administration: Serve as Trustee for the Exempted PF Trust and manage trust-related financial administration.
- Leadership - Business Partnering: Mentor the plant finance team and serve as the primary finance link between plant leadership and the CFO/HO.
Qualification And Experience:
- CMA/ICWA or CA with MBA Finance with 10 - 15 Years of experience in finance, accounting, and business operations, with a focus on PLANT ACCOUNTING.
- Deep grounding in manufacturing, process costing, and supply chain economics.
- Strong cross-functional communication to translate complex financials for non-finance operational teams.
- Strong experience in Cost Accounting, Budgeting, Forecasting, MIS and Financial Reporting.
- Hands-on experience in Inventory Accounting, Variance Analysis and Internal Controls.
- Advanced command of SAP (FI/CO modules) and ERP systems.
- Strong analytical, communication and stakeholder-management skills.
