Plant Finance Controller - Pharma/Chemical/FMCG/Beverages

The position is available with a Global Pharmaceutical Multinational Corporation, primarily overseeing the Site/Plant/Facility Finance function additionally with IT and Procurement.

The role entails the management of the overall finance function and organization. This encompasses forecasting, budgeting, and reporting, ensuring compliance with current regulations, as well as adhering to specific company policies and accounting principles.

Additionally, it involves developing financial planning and enhancing the capabilities of the local finance team.

Roles & Responsibilities

Finance strategy and business collaboration:

- Advise and challenge business with timely and proactive analyses, assessments of variances to the plans, key ratios, financial impacts and risks.

- Ensure the implementation and efficient use of the Management Information Systems and performance measurement

Budgeting and cost analysis:

- Perform cost accounting and control

- Ensure correct standard cost is implemented

- Review and assess impact of improvements on COPS

- Prepare and implement cost evaluation models

Finance Policy and Financial Reporting:

- Strict implementation of IFRS and internal guidelines.

- Adherence to the local fiscal and finance related regulations.

- Inform timely on potential issues, assess the risks and propose corrective measures.

Projects and enhancements:

- Support Corporate Finance/Controlling/Tax/Project in the implementation of programs, processes or initiatives

- Contribute to performance management and drive continuous improvement initiatives e.g. propose standardized and coordinated use of financial information systems, identify and propose optimization measures

Tax, Treasury, and Insurance management:

- Mentor and motivate team through training and delegation across the finance and IT organisation

- Ensure engagement of each member by identifying and addressing escalations in timely manner

- Translate business objectives into team's objectives and manage performance

- Implementation and adherence to internal guidelines, instructions, processes and systems (ICS & RA).

Qualifications: CMA/CA
