
Role Overview:
The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading and managing demand planning, supply planning, and inventory.
Desired Candidate Profile:
- MBA in Supply Chain Management or Operations Management, bachelors degree in production engineering or equivalent, with minimum of 5 years of experience in demand planning, supply planning, and inventory management, preferably within the luggage, consumer goods or retail industry.
- Proven experience leading the S&OP process and working with cross-functional teams.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to manage and interpret complex data sets.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced startup environment and manage multiple priorities.
- Strong business acumen and understanding of market dynamics.
- Demonstrated ability to drive continuous improvement and process optimization.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Demand Planning:
- Develop and maintain accurate demand forecasts, collaborate with sales and marketing teams to incorporate promotional plans and market trends into demand forecasts.
- Monitor forecast accuracy and make adjustments as necessary.
2. Supply Planning:
- Create and manage supply plans to ensure product availability while minimizing excess inventory.
- Coordinate with vendors/ suppliers and internal manufacturing/ production teams to ensure timely delivery of RM and FG.
- Address and resolve any supply chain disruptions in a timely manner.
3. Inventory Management:
- Monitor and manage inventory levels to meet demands of the sales channels.
- Utilize real-time data to adjust inventory levels and optimize stock levels across multiple SKUs, implement and manage inventory control processes to minimize obsolescence and write-offs.
4. Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP):
- Lead & facilitate S&OP process ensuring alignment between sales, operations and drive consensus on demand and supply plans.
5. Analytics and Insights:
- Analyze SKU-level data to track performance and identify trends.
- Provide insights on SKU performance and the impact of new product launches.
- Utilize analytics to support decision-making and strategic planning.
6. Tracking Forecast vs. Actuals:
- Continuously track forecasted demand against actual sales, identify and analyse variances, and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Communicate forecast performance and insights to Sales/ other cross functional teams to drive alignment and improvements.
