Job Description:
Role & responsibilities:
- Develop and implement tax planning strategies for individuals, partnerships, S-Corporations, C-Corporations, and LLCs.
- Analyze clients' financial situations to identify tax-saving opportunities.
- Provide year-round tax advisory services, not just during tax season.
- Research complex federal and state tax issues and recommend compliant solutions.
- Advise clients on entity selection, business restructuring, mergers, acquisitions, and succession planning.
- Perform tax projections and estimated tax calculations.
- Review financial statements and tax returns to identify planning opportunities.
- Stay current with changes in U.S. federal and state tax laws.
- Collaborate with tax preparation and accounting teams to ensure planning strategies are accurately reflected in tax filings.
- Support clients during IRS notices, audits, and tax-related inquiries when required.
- Prepare client presentations, tax planning reports, and recommendations.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- CPA or EA (Enrolled Agent) preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in U.S. tax planning and advisory.
- Strong knowledge of:
1. Individual Tax (Form 1040)
2. Partnership Tax (Form 1065)
3. S-Corporation Tax (Form 1120-S)
4. C-Corporation Tax (Form 1120)
5. Trust & Estate Tax (preferred)
- Thorough understanding of U.S. federal and state tax regulations.
- Experience with tax projections, estimated tax calculations, and strategic tax planning.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

- Microsoft Excel (Advanced)

- Strong tax research capabilities.
- Ability to explain complex tax concepts to clients in simple terms.
- Client relationship management experience.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to manage multiple client engagements simultaneously.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Nice to Have:
- Experience working with U.S.-based CPA firms.
- Experience with high-net-worth individuals and closely held businesses.
- Knowledge of multi-state taxation and nexus rules.
- International tax exposure (FBAR, FATCA, foreign tax credits, etc.) is an added advantage.
