Role: Manager- Strategy (Office of VC) Job Description: - Plaksha university is seeking a highly motivated individual interested in institutional building. This role offers a rare opportunity to collaborate with the Vice Chancellor and his leadership team to influence the university's strategic priorities. If you are passionate about institution building, adept at navigating policies, processes and communications, this role will allow you to help shape the future of the university. Strategy and Execution: - Support VC in thought leadership and serve as a trusted advisor to the VC and his leadership team to drive critical initiatives aligned to university goals. - Stay informed about higher education trends and best practices. - Develop and manage university financial plans: Define KPIs, track and communicate progress, and enable data-driven decision making. Communications & Crisis Management: - Create clear and impactful communications for the VC and Office of VC on various topics. - Facilitate communication and collaboration between the Office of VC and other departments. - Represent the university to liaison with relevant external stakeholders and founders on behalf of the Office of VC. - Identify risks and develop mitigation strategies; be part of the core team managing unforeseen situations. Governance: - Help prepare for key meetings, viz, Board of Trustees, Governing Body, Board of Management, Academic Council and Academic Advisory Board, in coordination with leadership team. - Benchmark revenue, costs and other KPI's with peer institutions; develop and implement ideas for cost optimization and revenue growth. - Play a key role in defining the long-range plans, the annual university budget and partnering with relevant stakeholders for the same. Faculty Advisory Support: - Work with the Head of Faculty Affairs to support efforts to attract and select world-class faculty. Eligibility: The ideal candidate for this role will be a strategic thinker with a critical mindset, demonstrating expertise in policies, processes and communications. - At least 5 years of overall experience with a minimum of 2 years in founders office/ strategy roles. - Higher education experience is preferred. - A master's degree in relevant fields such as education, public policies etc or an MBA from a Top Institute. Skills: - Excellent communications and presentation skills (verbal and written) - Strong problem solving and analytical skills - Passionate about higher education and commitment to institutional building - Resourceful and adept in building strong relationships with diverse stakeholder. - Proven ability to manage complex projects. - Self-driven, proactive, keen learner and motivated to go above and beyond what is asked, to deliver exceptional outcomes.
