Role : Manager - Admissions Job Description : - As an Admissions Officer at Plaksha University, you will play a pivotal role in attracting and admitting the brightest talent to Plaksha's flagship undergraduate program. - Your key responsibilities will include recruiting, evaluating, and selecting candidates through a rigorous process while maintaining the highest standards of conduct, attention to detail and confidentiality. - If you're driven, detail-oriented, and passionate about institution building, we want to hear from you. - Play an integral role in the creation and execution of the annual admissions plan, ensuring efficient coordination throughout the admissions cycle. - Exercise independent judgment in evaluating applications, conducting thorough reviews of transcripts, application forms, and interviews for shortlisted candidates. - Ensure timely data updates in the admissions system, maintain relevant trackers, and ensure all processes are consistently followed. - Assist in the coordination of work allocation within the team to ensure smooth operations. - Provide valuable input in updating application materials, web-based content, handbooks, policies, and procedures on an annual basis. - Coordinate and collaborate with faculty members to streamline admissions-related interactions. - Track student acceptances, manage waitlists, and ensure final enrollment targets are met. - Provide timely and accurate data, reports, and insights on admission statistics for management review and decision-making. - Actively participate in campus events such as open houses, outreach, and retention initiatives to enhance student recruitment. - Offer expert admissions advice to prospective students and their families, fostering positive relationships throughout the admissions journey. - Contribute to student recruitment, retention, and success initiatives at the campus and school levels, aligning with Plaksha's innovative educational goals. - Apply a Diversity Equity and Inclusion lens to all aspects of your work, ensuring fair and equitable admissions processes. Experience and Education : - Bachelors Degree. - Minimum of 2+ years in customer service roles. - Nice to have experience in admission roles, but not mandatory. - Overall experience of 6+ years. Skills : - Excellent organization, interpersonal, and verbal and written communication skills. - Ability to work independently, troubleshoot, and deal with issues/challenges in administrative operations. - Working knowledge of standard office software, including Microsoft Office. - Familiarity with digital communications, spreadsheet, and database software. - Familiarity with a web-based application. - Strong customer service skills. - Passion for, understanding of, and commitment to inclusion, diversity, belonging, equity, and accessibility.
