Role -Finance & Accounts

Reports to - Associate Director-Finance
Role Overview:
The candidate will be responsible for ensuring sound financial management, statutory compliance, and accurate financial reporting for RHEF. It entails managing day-to-day accounting operations, audit coordination, and financial analysis while upholding the highest standards of transparency and accountability. The position is contractual for a period of 3 years, renewable based on performance and institutional requirements. The role demands strong financial acumen, attention to detail, and adherence to statutory and institutional norms.
Job Description:
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Accounting & Reporting:
- Prepare and finalize annual and quarterly financial statements, including Balance Sheet, Income & Expenditure Account and related schedules.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements applicable to Section 8 entities.
- Coordinate with auditors for statutory, internal and project audits.
Taxation:
- Manage all direct tax compliance including filing of Income Tax Returns, TDS returns and responding to tax notices.
- Ensure accurate maintenance of tax records, supporting documentation, and audit trails for scrutiny, assessments, or regulatory review.
GST Compliance:
- Prepare, review, and file monthly/quarterly GST returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, and annual return).
- Handle reconciliation of input tax credit (ITC) and vendor invoices.
- Address GST queries, notices, and ensure timely compliance.
Budgeting & MIS:
- Assist in budgeting, forecasting and financial planning activities.
- Provide monthly MIS reports and variance analysis for management review.
- Generate MIS and management dashboards for leadership review.
Experience and Education:
- Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) with 26 years of post-qualification experience.
- Proficiency in Tally, MS Excel and online tax portals (Income Tax, GSTN).
- Female candidates are preferred.
