Lead - FASTag Business PhonePe in the Offline Organized Business PhonePe payment solution for merchants is a multi-instrument payments platform and enables national/regional brands in the Offline Organized space to accept payments digitally from their consumers. The endeavour is to provide the best-in-class consumer and merchant experience in the context of digital payments using various payment instruments and develop deep partnerships with the merchants in driving various business priorities creating value proposition for all involved stakeholders. About the Role: A person in this role would be responsible for expanding PhonePe's footprint in the transit & government business segment using NETC FASTag as a payment instrument. This is a team management role highly driven by his/her own passion to build and scale up this business from scratch. This person will have an end-to-end accountability for building PhonePe's acceptance network for FASTag business across a set of national and regional business partners operating in the country. Key Responsibilities: - Engage with the national/regional/local governments and associated agencies to expand PhonePe's footprint in the Transit & Government business segments using NETC FASTag as a payment platform. - Drive the pan India strategy with the holistic view of business opportunity, go to market approach, emerging segments, strategic initiatives, and market engagement plan. - Develop an understanding of the prospective merchant's business environment and preparing merchant specific contextual/relevant pitches. This would need one to be good with data/understanding of businesses/solutioning approach in the Indian context and basis this one should be able to outline the value which PhonePe can add to this business. - Work out the commercial terms of the business partnership with the merchant/tech partners involving multiple stakeholders involved in end-to-end solution implementation at the merchant end. This would require person to have a good understanding of business model and negotiating skill. - Work with account managers and guide them with required enablers to drive the FASTag business acceptance network across existing and upcoming use cases for this payment platform. - Engagement with central/state government bodies, payment network and other stakeholders of FASTag program to understand the dynamics of market from policy, technology and new use cases perspective. The person should work with them to lead the new business opportunities and customize/co-build the solutions for that. - Work with the PhonePe internal stakeholders including product and engineering to ensure the product market fit basis the market insights and policy level changes. This should ensure the competitive advantage for all involved stakeholders across the value chain. - Monitor the key performance metrics related to the existing merchant network and drive the growth of these key metrics using various levers in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders with an agenda to create value proposition for all stakeholders. - Own and manage the P & L of FASTag acceptance business at PhonePe. If you: - Have a passion for business development and B2B engagements. - Experience in handling/ generating revenue for the organisation. - Able to work with and integrate knowledge across various disciplines including product, technology, operations, sales, marketing and legal. - Consultative selling focused with deep product, services and solutions expertise. - Want to create an impact in one of the most dynamic business environments. - Are comfortable with all aspects of planning, budgeting, tracking and optimization of costs. - Experience of working on FASTag business, tender process, managing government relationships will be an added advantage. - This is the role for you! Eligibility: MBA from Tier-1 Institutes: ISB/IIMs/XLRI/SP Jain/MDI/FMS or Equivalent Minimum 10+ years of overall experience A significant part of this experience should be across Digital Payments/Banking in the B2B Sales/Business Development Domains Prior experience in FASTag business would be preferred
