Job Summary:


The Accounts Assistant Manager plays a crucial role in supporting the finance team in maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations, and assisting in the day-to-day financial operations of the organization. This position involves overseeing the work of junior accounting staff and collaborating with other departments to facilitate smooth financial processes.


Key Responsibilities:


1. Financial Record Keeping:


- Assist in the preparation and maintenance of financial records, including ledgers, journals, and reconciliations.


- Monitor and record financial transactions accurately and promptly.


2. Month-End and Year-End Close:


- Support the Finance Manager in the month-end and year-end closing processes.


- Ensure all necessary adjustments and accruals are made in a timely manner.


3. Regular Reporting (MIS):


- Prepare and analyse statements, including income statements, vendor aging, Vendor Balances, cash flow statements etc.


- Verify and report variances.


4. Supervision and Training:


- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior accounting staff.


- Assist in the training of new team members and ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures.


5. Compliance and Auditing:


- Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, tax regulations and internal controls.


- Assist with external and internal audits as needed.


6. Vendor and Customer Relations:


- Maintain relationships with vendors and customers regarding financial matters.


- Address payment and invoicing inquiries promptly.


7. Process Improvement:


- Identify opportunities to streamline financial processes and improve efficiency.


- Implement process improvements with approval from superiors.


8. Ad-Hoc Financial Analysis:


- Conduct ad-hoc financial analysis and provide recommendations to support decision-making.


Qualification:


- 2 to 3 years of Experience Masters degree or relevant certification, such as CA, CMA, is a plus.


Preferred Skills:


- Proven experience in accounting or finance, preferably with some supervisory or team leadership experience.


- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.


- Strong understanding of accounting principles, regulations, and financial reporting.


- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.


- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.


- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.


- Strong organizational and time management skills.
