Role Overview:
The Associate Consultant / Consultant Advanced Analytics will play a key management role in leading complex analytical engagements, managing client relationships, and guiding teams in delivering high-impact business insights. This role demands strong analytical expertise, leadership ability, and a deep understanding of the pharmaceutical data landscape.
The successful candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams and global stakeholders to define analytical approaches, design data-driven solutions, and deliver actionable recommendations that influence commercial and strategic outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Management & Leadership:
- Manage multiple end-to-end advanced analytics projects, ensuring delivery excellence, quality, and alignment with client objectives.
- Lead, mentor, and guide teams of analysts, data scientists, and business consultants to deliver strategic analytical outcomes.
- Coordinate across functions such as Forecasting, Competitive Intelligence, and Sales Analytics to synthesize and integrate insights.
- Serve as the primary offshore project manager and liaison for onshore teams and client stakeholders.
- Establish robust governance mechanisms, define project plans, and ensure adherence to timelines and resource allocations.
Client Engagement & Strategy:
- Build and sustain trusted client relationships through proactive engagement and strategic advisory support.
- Translate complex business challenges into structured analytical frameworks and measurable solutions.
- Present insights, models, and recommendations through clear, executive-level reports and presentations.
- Identify and pursue opportunities for business expansion within existing accounts; contribute to proposal and solution development for new engagements.
Technical & Analytical Excellence:
- Analyze large-scale pharmaceutical and healthcare datasets, including claims, EHR/EMR, prescription, sales, and promotional data.
- Design and develop predictive and prescriptive models leveraging statistical and machine learning techniques.
- Ensure data integrity through rigorous validation, cleaning, and transformation processes.
- Develop analytical workflows, automation scripts, and interactive dashboards using tools such as SQL, Python, R, Power BI, or Tableau.
- Apply advanced statistical and machine learning methodologies to derive insights on market trends, physician behavior, and product performance.
- Drive process improvements through standardization, automation, and integration of advanced analytics tools and technologies.
Team Development & Knowledge Management:
- Mentor and upskill team members on analytical methodologies, client communication, and project delivery.
- Foster a culture of analytical innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning.
- Contribute to internal best practices, knowledge repositories, and reusable analytics frameworks to strengthen organizational capability.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Engineering, Data Science, Statistics, Life Sciences, or a related discipline.
- 4 - 8 years of professional experience in pharmaceutical or life sciences analytics, consulting, or data science.
- Demonstrated experience in managing analytics or consulting teams within a client-facing environment.
- Strong understanding of pharmaceutical commercial data assets (IQVIA, Symphony, SHS, etc.) and data types (Rx, claims, patient-level, specialty-level data).
- Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and at least one analytical or programming language (SQL, Python, or R).
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and priorities under tight timelines.
