WMS - Senior Consultant

JOB LOCATION: Site

REPORTING TO: Digitalization Head (HOD)

BUSINESS UNIT / SBU: Center of Excellence

DEPARTMENT: Digitalization

SUB VERTICAL: SAP - Digitalization

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

System Management & Support:

- Good understanding of Warehouse Operations (like Gate entry, Docking, Goods receipts, BIN allocation, Put away, Issue, Picking etc.)

- Good understanding of various WMS tools.

- Analyse business requirements and recommend system solutions.

- Ensure WMS processes align with organizational policies and best practices.

- Implemented 4 - 5 E2E WMS.

Stakeholder Collaboration:

- Coordinate with stakeholder to understand the current process and requirement.

- Act as the primary point of contact for all WMS-related issues and enhancements.

Enhancements & Continuous Improvement:

- Gather enhancement requirements from warehouse and business users.

- Participate in process optimization initiatives.

- Recommend automation opportunities to improve warehouse efficiency.

- Support implementation of new warehouse capabilities and technologies.

Project & Change Management:

- Participate in WMS Implementation and enhancement projects.

- Coordinate with Partner for Implementation, testing activities including SIT and UAT.

- Support deployment and change management activities.

- Assist in developing training materials and conducting user training sessions.

Team Leadership:

- Lead or mentor WMS analysts or support staff.

- Coordinate issue resolution and prioritize tasks.

- Ensure adherence to best practices and SOPs.

FUNCTIONAL SKILLS:

- Experience supporting multi-site warehouses.

- Knowledge of spare parts, maintenance, and material management processes.

- Experience integrating WMS with SAP S/4HANA MM, SD, PP, PM, and TM modules.

- Exposure to warehouse automation technologies, RFID, handheld devices, and robotics solutions.

- Communication Skills, Presentation Skills.

TECHNICAL SKILLS:

- Knowledge of ERP integration (SAP S/4 HANA, ECC, etc.)

- Understanding of APIs, EDI, IDocs, RF devices, barcode scanning, and label printing.

QUALIFICATION - Bachelors or masters in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.

EXPERIENCE:
