Job Summary :
The Senior Buyer - ICT Procurement is responsible for managing the end-to-end procurement of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) goods and services. This role ensures cost-effective sourcing, supplier performance management, contract negotiation, and compliance with organizational policies while supporting business technology needs.
Key Responsibilities :
- Lead procurement activities for ICT categories including hardware, software, cloud services, telecommunications, and IT services
- Develop and execute sourcing strategies aligned with organizational goals
- Manage the full procurement lifecycle : requisition, RFx processes (RFI/RFP/RFQ), evaluation, negotiation, and contract award
- Negotiate pricing, terms, and service-level agreements (SLAs) with vendors to achieve cost savings and value
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key ICT suppliers and stakeholders
- Monitor supplier performance and ensure compliance with contractual obligations
- Collaborate with IT, finance, and legal teams to ensure requirements are clearly defined and contracts are risk-mitigated
- Conduct market research and benchmarking to identify new suppliers, technologies, and cost-saving opportunities
- Ensure procurement activities comply with internal policies, audit requirements, and regulatory standards
- Manage procurement data, reporting, and documentation for transparency and decision-making
- Identify and mitigate risks related to supply chain disruptions, vendor dependency, and cybersecurity concerns
Qualifications & Experience :
- Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Information Technology, or a related field
- 5-10 years of procurement experience, with a strong focus on ICT categories
- Experience in negotiating complex ICT contracts and vendor agreements
- Knowledge of IT products, licensing models, and emerging technologies
- Familiarity with procurement tools, ERP systems, and e-sourcing platforms
- Professional certifications (e.g., CIPS, CPSM) are an advantage
